The first annual meeting of the EU project BioGeoSea, hosted at GEOMAR in Kiel from 7-10 Sep 2026, brings together project partners to review progress, share scientific and technical insights, and strengthen collaboration across disciplines and institutions. The meeting provides a platform to present key results, discuss challenges, and align methodologies, data integration, and next steps for the coming project phase.
Set within the broader transition toward integrated and policy-relevant ocean observing systems, the meeting also addresses the evolving EU ocean observation framework. Dedicated sessions, including a panel discussion will explore how initiatives such as OceanEye support scalable, coordinated ocean observation in line with BioGeoSea’s mission. Meeting participation is by invitation only.
